How to wrap christmas lights around palm trees.
This little tree took me around 2 1 2 hours to wrap.
With halloween and the upcoming winter holidays coming up you may be tempted to hang up some decorations in your backyard to celebrate.
Now we re ready to begin wrapping.
Do not use the newer led lights but stick with good old fashioned bulbs.
Begin wrapping the lights around the tree s trunk moving upward with each winding.
Use brown wire if possible so the strands are not as noticeable.

Start by rolling your string of lights gently into a ball.
Keep in mind this was my first time doing anything more than just throwing lights up and calling it a day.

Aim for uniform spacing to make the finished project look its best.
If the strands of lights are slipping use the light duty staple gun to secure them in place.
Use about four fingers to get consistent spacing between each wrap around the tree trunk.
If the tree is outside be sure to use weather safe lights.
Starting with the male end closest to the base of the tree begin wrapping the tree systematically connecting the male end with the next light string s female end.
Tie the leaves together into a bundle and wrap them with a string of lights.

Wind the lights around the trunk of the palm tree with the light strands unplugged.
Begin rolling the ball with the female plug end so that the male plug will be on the outside of the ball.
To ensure even spacing check the distance between windings with your hand.

I typically love to live my life by the good enough motto but i really wanted to make an exception with this little tree.
Make sure the male plug is ground level to connect with your power cord.
You will be able to let them unwind as you go around the tree.
Wrapping the light string into a ball makes it much easier to handle throughout the process.
The tighter the coil the brighter the tree but you ll also need more strands.
