Take a minute to line them all up perfectly so that they ll fit together without any gaps but don t stress too much if there are some imperfections wood filler will help with that.
How to build floating shelves with lights.
These shelves are handsome easy to build and inexpensive.
For this diy floating shelf project i m using stock boards from the home center a miter saw to cut them to length and a drill driver to assemble the pieces with screws and wood glue.
Cut the shelf to length.
And they re strong even though they have no visible supports.
The led strips are 16 long but can be cut to size so the length of your floating shelf can really be whatever you want it to be.
The spots are used to light up glass vases witch are filled with.
I install led spots upside down in the shelves.

Assembling the floating shelves to assemble the shelves start by laying out your side and front pieces all in a row with the mitered side facing down.

To make floating shelves start by cutting a piece of wood into three pieces so that the first piece is as long as your shelf panel which is the flat piece of wood that forms the bottom of the shelf and the other 2 pieces are the same width as the shelf.
